True is a big up-and-coming new website that has burst onto the online dating scene in the past year. The emphasis of
this site appears to be upon providing a better experience to those who have had poor experiences in the past. Most
notably, the site does background checks on all new members and even threatens to prosecute married people who attempt
to join. The emphasis appears to be an answer to the complaints of so many single women who have met married men
online and men who generally lie about their backgrounds in order to hook up with unsuspecting women. This is not a
common phenomenon but apparently frequent enough to be the basis of this website. So, if you are a women who has had
a bad experience, or if you are a man who is frustrated with having to cut through the noise of men pretending to be
people they're not, then this could be the website for you.
